Concerto Dance returns to the Southern Theater for our annual evening of vibrant modern and jazz dance. Featuring repertory work by Steve Rooks, former principal dancer with the Martha Graham Company founded in 1926 to honor the 100th anniversary, a dynamic and rhythmic work by guest artist Joe Chvala, and two new jazz premieres by Artistic Director Jolene Konkel.

Highlights on the program include Konkel's Jamboree, a joyful, high-energy celebration that lifts spirits and invites the audience to join in the fun, and the premiere of Sweet Thunder Suite, inspired by the voices of Shakespeare’s women and the stories they were never allowed to tell.
